What is an Executive Health Exam or a Detailed Preventive Health Exam?
The Executive Health Exam combines a comprehensive history and physical exam with advanced screening tests. The allure of the executive physical stems partly from its sheer comprehensiveness. It usually includes a comprehensive exam, extensive blood work, vision and hearing tests, and checks for heart disease, cancer, osteoporosis, and other chronic conditions.

It is geared towards Executives who want a comprehensive preventive exam on a yearly or bi-yearly basis but can be taken by anyone who is interested in taking their healthcare to the next level and focusing on disease prevention rather than disease management.

Executive Physical Exam Components:
Medical Exam & Counseling
A Board Certified Primary Care Physician will do a Head to Toe Exam with comprehensive screening tools to evaluate for cardiovascular abnormalities and cancer screening. The medical records reviewed in detail with clients given a chance to receive counselling & review their lab/imaging results in a non-hurried environment and provide recommendations.
The laboratory testing is drawn on site and include a Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, Lipid profile, Glucose level, complete blood count, homo cysteine, urinalysis, high sensitivity C-reactive protein, thyroid stimulating hormone, vitamin D, omega-3 and other important tests.
The cardiovascular screening is done by advanced imaging stress test by walking on a treadmill using a Standardized Exercise protocol. There is continuous EKG monitoring during the test but also in addition to that Pre and Post Stress Electrocardiograph Images of the Heart are taken to evaluate for any Wall Motion abnormalities. The test not only assesses for coronary circulation but also electrical conduction.
All cardiovascular imaging results will be supervised and interpreted by a Board Certified cardiologist. The Standard Exam includes a detailed consultation with our Staff Cardiologist to go over all the results, answer questions and give recommendations
Skin Cancer Screening
Detailed Skin Examination utilizing special light exam from Head-to-toe by our Staff Physician to screen for evidence of skin cancer or other dermatological skin conditions.
Consultation with a health care provider under the guidance of a dietition to help clients identify potential issues in their lifestyle. A detailed dietary history will be taken and reviewed with the health care provider to develop healthy meal plans.

MD Health Clinic offers the following cardiology screenings:
- Treadmill Stress Echocardiography testing with continuous EKG Monitoring
- (preventive exam standard component)
- Carotid Artery Ultrasonography
- Peripheral arterial testing
- Duplex Venous Ultrasonography
- Pulse Wave Analysis
Assessment of visal acuity including distant, near, color and peripheral vision to identify any visual problems. We can also do a screen for glaucoma. This screening is recommended yearly
Screening for Hearing impairment and also middle ear function testing using a Tympanometer exam to identify issues even at subclinical level. This screening is recommended yearly
Lung Function Testing
Pulmonary/Spirometry to assess lung volume and airway flow. This screening is recommended yearly
Nutritional analysis aimed at weight management strategies. Screening for percentage of total body fat of an individual and determine ideal weight. This screening is recommended yearly. Screening tests include:
Skinfold Measurement: Measurement done with skin calipers.
Body Fat Densitometry: Analysis of body to measure fat percentage and lean mass.
What to Expect on your exam day:
On the day of your exam you can expect the best in personalized healthcare in a Five Star Environment. To be better prepared for your exam it is best to know what to expect on exam day. Here is an overview of how the day may go. The order of exam tests do vary based on individual patient needs and the daily patient load.
Filling out Paperwork
We would appreciate filling out the registration paperwork before the exam day to prevent delays in schedule
Appointment check-in times are between 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Depending on the type of exam and additional components the exam can take approximately 4 to 6 hours. For out-of-town guests, we recommend scheduling return flights for 5 p.m. or later.
During check-in, a Patient Services Representative explains what to expect on the exam day and gives a general sense of how the day will flow.
Laboratory Draw First
Typically, the first procedure of the day is lab work since it requires fasting for at least 8 hours.
Food during the exam day
Once cleared from fasting, light breakfast will be served and snacks are available throughout the day. Lunch can be pre-ordered if desired. You are always welcome to bring your own food/snacks.
Your Health Concierge
Clients are given personalized attention by your assigned Health Concierge and will be guided from one test to another until all procedures and tests are completed.
Our Board Certified Physician will be conducting the comprehensive medical exam and consultation, review of lab and test results and development of a plan of action.
No Wait Time
Clients move from one screening test to the other and through the medical exam without any waiting time in between.
Most results and test reports are available the same day and are reviewed together with the physician. In addition, a complete report will be mailed to you.
